Staying connected when it gets difficult, Ljubljana, Slovenia, 9 - 11 April 2027
This advanced Nonviolent Communication (NVC) training with Kirsten Kristensen, CNVC certified trainer, will focus on cooperation with children and youth. Welcome parents, grandparents, teachers, youth workers, therapists, social workers, caregivers and everyone who would like to deepen their practice of connection. Co-organised by Polona Siter Drnovšek, CNVC Certified trainer, based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Training will be in English language.

In this training, participants will deepen their practice through real-life situations, exploring what gets in the way of connection and how they can respond with greater presence and flexibility.
For whom?
Welcome parents, grandparents, teachers, youth workers, therapists, social workers, caregivers and everyone who would like to deepen their practice of connection. Bring your experience, your questions and situations you’d like to work on!
We will explore:
awareness of what gets in the way of connection, even when we know NVC,
ability to stay present and connected in challenging dynamics,
power, autonomy, boundaries and mutuality in relationships with children and youth,
guilt, shame and self-judgment and finding space for self-care and renew energy,
how to give guidance and be helpful for young ones in pain and difficulties,
your particularly challenging real-life situations - to expand your capacity to respond with clarity, flexibility and connection.
Training will take place in a pleasant and supportive atmosphere, using a variety of learning methods. The working language will be English.

About the team:
Kirsten Kristensen is CNVC Certified Trainer, Family Therapist and Mediator. She has more than 25 years of experience with bringing NVC into schools, homes, and conflict zones worldwide. She studied directly with Marshall Rosenberg. Kirsten is also the creator of the documentary films “A Culture of Peace – in Schools with NVC”.

Cancellation policy:
If you withdraw from the course before the Early Bird dead-line (31 January 2027), the entire amount paid will be refunded. If you withdraw from the course no later than 1 month before the start of the course, the amount paid minus 125 EUR will be refunded. If you cancel the course less than 1 month before the start of the course, the course fee is only refunded if you find another paying participant, or if the course has a waiting list and we find another paying participant. If we cancel the course, the entire amount paid will be refunded.

This is a non-residential training. Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia and offers a variety of accommodation. If you need support with finding accommodation or just an idea, ask Polona.
How much is the price?
Early bird (till 31 January 2027): 225 EUR
Standard price: 325 EUR
Discounts for groups/institutions/organisations - if they apply and pay together:
2 participants: 5%
3 or 4 participants: 10%
5 and more participants: 15%
The price includes the training fee, venue, materials, and coffee breaks. You are fully registered and your space is booked when you pay.
